1850 Coffee Brand by Folgers & The J.M. Smucker Company
Taste testing foods and coffees are probably one of the better things the American consumer can enjoy doing. Especially when it’s something you start your day with. So when I went to the store and saw the new packaging design for this 1850 brand I was like this looks fancy, and frankly, it caught my eye. I thought hell this might even be too pricey for a bag of coffee but just the same my curiosity was piqued so I grabbed a k-cup box for a taste & try.
It’s simply a robust flavor profile that in my opinion has a better finish than the coffee coming from Starbucks. It’s stronger too and it has a citrus and nuttiness to the flavor profile, the finish is sweet too not harsh and acidic. That’s when I looked at the back of the packaging and read the backstory, and realized I was drinking Folger’s and see the name itself is dating back to the original founding of Folgers Coffee in 1850. I’d give 1850 a shot from what I hear the other flavor profiles for light and dark roast are significantly unique from the pioneer blend yet equally excellent. And the packaging is gorgeous seriously great work Folgers, and Smucker’s.
1850 – The Folger Coffee Company Brand ID
Great Packaging Design, & Naming
- Great Raised Elements
- Cross Hatching Illustration is a nice touch
- Smart Product Naming On Theme
- I like the name ‘1850’ It’s memorable
- You Would Never Guess it’s Folgers. That is a huge positive to overcome as it is a premium brand.
- And yet it tells you the backstory of Folgers in a positive way promoting the brand and the products.
